Hey everyone
Please pray for a meeting on Saturday – the second joint youth meeting between a church in El Alto and the church I have links with in Alpacoma. Please pray that the youth from Alpacoma would come as it involves them having to travel to El Alto – not that far but far enough to put them off! Please pray for all those going – that it would be a great evening of fun but also of hearing from God’s word.

Hey everyone
Couple of meetings to pray for this week please. I should be meeting with Pato who is in charge of Bernabe, the street childrens project I will be working, hopefully on Friday. Please pray that we would be able to discern what my role should be within the work over the next couple of years.
Please also pray as Louis (my mentor) meets up with David (the pastor I will be working with) to discuss a few more practical details of my placement.
Please also pray as I start to look for an apartment in the area I will be working in. Pray that God would lead me to the apartment that He wants for me.

Hi everyone
You should now find on the prayer letters page a copy of my Christmas letter for 2008 – this was also act as a sort of annual report/sum-up of the work over the past 12 months. I do not intend to email this to everyone as you all get enough off me already – but please feel free to have a look. Some of you will be receiving this in the post over the next few weeks.
Can I take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support and prayers as I serve in La Paz. It is great to hear news from you guys too so please do be emailing me with information.

Hi everyone
It is hard to avoid the hearing or reading about the financial crisis at the moment. However, a lot of what is heard is about mortgages, world markets and falling trade figures. It would be great of during this time you could be praying for those missionaries working abroad as volunteers. The majority of us are already on tight budgets, however many are finding this time incredibly hard. For example in just two months the rate of exchange here has falling dramatically due to slowdown of the pound. When I arrived in Bolivia the rate was 15bs (bolivianos) to the pound – it now stands at just 10.5bs to the pound – a drop of roughly 30%. This means that for many missionaries cuts are having to be made.
Please do be praying for missionaries all over the world – that this would not be a distraction from the work that they are doing, and that God would provide where it is needed. Pray also for wisdom for missionaries as they work out the best way of dealing with this.

November update and information sheet
Posted by andyinsouthamerica under General, PrayerLeave a Comment
Hey everyone
Just posted my latest prayer update in the prayer updates section, and also you will find a new A5 information sheet in the same section. This contains basic information on who I am and what I am doing and is ideal for church mission boards and also for putting somewhere such as your Bible to help you in your prayer for the work.

Hey guys and girls!
Just got back from what was an amazing retreat in Copacabana on the shores of Lake Titicaca! Was an amazing time to just refocus on God and get refuelled ready for the next few months! The views were amazing, and it gave me a real opportunity to spend time with God in prayer and worship!
I have uploaded some photos to my facebook profile so please do go and have a look:
